The Neill-Cochran House Museum historic site is home to one of the city's oldest residences (1856) and the only intact slave dwelling left in Austin. A few minutes' walk from UT-Austin, the Museum shares Austin history through the eyes of those who lived it through historically furnished spaces as well as numerous rotating art and history exhibitions.

Pioneer Farms is a registered historic site and living history park in Austin, Texas, offering visitors a chance to step back into 19th century Texas at more than a dozen restored farmstead and native homesites, a rural village, family-friendly events and activities, nature trails and engaging exhibits displaying Lone Star history from 1899 to 1839.
